These people came together from 247 countries and territories and tuned in online as active prayer participants. It was during this event that Pastor Chris announced that the coronavirus would not defeat us.
In 95 countries, major televisions stations broadcast the news. In these countries, 406 television stations broadcasted those prayers on Friday night. Two of the most venerated ministers of the Gospel were seen praying fervently for the global healing to begin.
To reach more people, 189 countries broadcast the Global Prayer Service on their airwaves. There are millions of people for whom the radio is their salvation. An inspiring 472 radio stations opened up their airwaves to the prayers of Pastor Chris and Pastor Benny on Friday.
Big night of prayer
The impact was tremendous. Pastor Chris initiated a prayer chain at the Global Prayer service. During a subsequent “Your LoveWorld “ transmission, he reminded us that when your prayers concern other people then you pray by a different set of rules. These intersession prayers are for the healing of others, and you pray for this for longer. It might be weeks or months but when you pray to God to intercede on behalf of others, you do you don’t stop until you see results.
Can we love other nations enough to pray for them?
Recalling 1 Timothy 2:1-2: – “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome prays for the health and safety of all the nations on earth
With a map of the countries spread out in front of him, Pastor Chris revealed he prayed for countries he has never visited with tears in his eyes. He prayed that the Holy Spirit will come over the nations invoking their leaders to make the right decisions concerning those who dwell in their boundaries.
Have a vision beyond your local community
Pastor Chris has taught us to care about those living outside the walls of our locality as it expands our world. The idea of stretching your hands over these communities and praying for them is powerful. The leaders of many communities and nations are currently paralyzed by fear of the coronavirus. We prayed for the grace of God to come to the nations of the world.
The calming waves of believing in Jesus Christ emanates from Pastor Chris. His unwavering belief that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ transcends all fear is the message so many need to hear during this international crisis.
The pastor offered a timely reminder that God sent Paul to preach the message of the remission of sins. Quoting from Acts 26:18 is was said, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
Pastor Chris is certain that many people will come to Christ. If you hear the Gospel, and three billion people heard the Gospel at the Global Prayer Service, so many souls were united in the war against the coronavirus. This, in turn, will usher a return to Jesus Christ.
Pastor Chris thanked the participants by inviting everyone to join in the prayer train. “Watch out for the rebroadcasts,” as he said at the meeting. There will be live programs to encourage everyone every day for the next few days. Remember the fasting and prayer from 6 am to 6 pm daily.
