Emeritus Professor Emmanuel .U. Emovon FAS celebrated his 90th birthday on Sunday, 24th of February, 2019 in Benin.  Professor Emovon (Professor of Chemistry) was a Foundation Fellow and Past President of the Nigerian Academy of Science. He was also a former Minister of Science and Technology. Emovon who is the Obayagbona of Benin Kingdom was the first Benin man to become a Professor and a Vice Chancellor in a Federal University in Nigeria. (Jos).
