The former Liverpool CEO’s wants to give back to Wrexham.

One of the stranger stories of 2020 has taken a Liverpool-related turn, as ex-Liverpool FC Chief Executive Officer Peter Moore is set to join National League club Wrexham as an advisor.

Wrexham are, of course, being taken over by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds (of Deadpool and Van Wilder fame) and Rob McElhenney from long-running sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Moore left the CEO post in July this year after a three year stint as CEO of the club, passing on the mantle to Billy Hogan. Presumably, an advisory role will still give Peter plenty of time to spend more time with his family and kids stateside.

The former Sega, Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Reebok head honcho has ties to the Dragons (as they are nicknamed), having watched Wrexham as a youngster during a period when he lived in north Wales. We wish Peter all the best in his next role.
