Plateau United exnteded their unbeaten run in the Nigeria Professional Football League to five matches after playing a goalless draw with Katsina United on Saturday.
The match that was played at Muhhamadu Dikko Stadium, saw Katsina United dominated but failed to find the important winner.
Katsina United’s Raheed Ahmed got the first chance of the match in the 11th but he failed to hit the target from close range.
Plateau United almost went in front in 37th minutes after Isah Ndala shoots from distance, but the effort was pushed away by Mohammed Yusuf.
Katsina United’s bench watched in agony as Masally glides past his marker and fires off target from close range with a minute to halftime break.
First half ended with no goal but Katsina United settled quickly into the second half and created the first chance three minutes after the restart.
Usman Barau attempted a very good shot from outside and PlateauUnited goal Anozie dived full length to keep out the effort.
Two minutes later, Rasheed Ahmed controlled Faisal’s pass with his chest and then drags his effort off target from close range.
In a bid to get the winner, both coaches made changes with Mo Gambo replacing Massally for Katsina United, while Plateau United made a double change. Abba Umar and Wasiu Jimoh replaced Mohammed Zulkifilu and Akila Jesse respectively.
Despite the reactions from both coaches, they were left disappointed as none of their players came up with moment of magic to win the maximum points.
