IT IS WAR! ! ! We’ll Come After You One By One– Nnamdi Kanu Reacts To Shoot At Sight Order Given To Nigerian Army Against IPOB Members
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has cautioned that any Nigerian security officer who kills members of his party will not go unpunished.
The IPOB leader explained that a soldier or police officer’ s uniform or rank would not protect him from punishment, and that the group maintains records and takes time to act.
Kanu said this in a statement sent to SaharaReporters on Sunday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.
Residents of Orlu town in Imo State have been warned to either evacuate or be alert, according to a yet- to- be- identified Nigerian soldier.
According to SaharaReporters, some personnel have been issued a shoot- on- sight order in the ongoing battle with Eastern Security Network operatives.
The soldier said he would not carry out the operation in an audio recording obtained by SaharaReporters, and as a result, he had been identified by the army commander to be captured and likely killed.
The soldier, who is assigned to the 302 Artillery Regiment in Onitsha, Anambra State, told residents of the town that their commander had ordered them to move.
The soldier said in the audio obtained by SaharaReporters, ” They took us (deployed us) to Maiduguri first (Borno State). Then 25 of us returned, hoping that the situation had been resolved. Then they took us to Onitsha’ s 302 Artillery. We were all confined to the Onitsha barracks until 12 p. m. today.
” When the battle in Orlu was over, the commander said, ” Anyone we see, we should shoot. ”
” I beg you, for the love of God, if your person is in Orlu, try to contact them between now and Monday. ” Tell them to relocate for the time being. The commander said I was going out to reveal them to make sure they got me and killed me as soon as I left the barracks.
” Look at the clothes I’ m putting on. I didn’ t buy these clothes with my own money; if you read this line carefully, you’ ll see that I was given these clothes and kept my uniform. ”
” If you’ re a commander of troops in the Nigerian army or police, hear this: Just because you’ re wearing a uniform and decorated in a rank does not make you invincible, ” the Biafra separatist group leader responded. You will be hunted and executed sooner rather than later if any #Biafran is killed on your orders. We’ re assessing the situation and biding our time. ”
