Just the sort of totally random information that I choose to dwell on sometimes.
US visit visa (B1/B2) interview wait times around the world (i.e. so you live in a country, you don’t have a “visa waiver passport” and you want to visit the US for your summer holidays. How long do you have to wait for an interview to get the visa?).
I won’t go below wait times of 200 days.
1. Abu Dhabi = 338 days.
2. Abuja = Emergency appointments only
3. Amman = 354 days
4. Ankara = 204 days
5. Bishkek = 274 days
6. Bogotá = 769
7. Brasília = 437
8. Calgary = 358
9. Chennai = 999 days
10. Ciudad Juarez = 655
11. Cotonou = 217
12. Dhaka = 294
13. Dubai = 445
14. Guadalajara = 822
15. Halifax = 296
16. Hyderabad = 999
17. Islamabad = 284
18. Istanbul = 322
19. Jerusalem = 233
20. Kathmandu = 486
21. Lagos = 428
22. Lima = 757 days
23. Madrid = 380
24. Ottawa = 296
25. Panama City = 205
26. Santiago = 318
27. São Paulo = 491 days
28. Tbilisi = 240
29. Tijuana = 626
30. Yerevan = 338 days.
These are wait times based on applications that US embassies and consulates have pending. Wow!!
Very interesting for a variety of reasons. For example, either there are suddenly huge amounts of non-visa waiver immigrants in Canada, or US embassies and consulates in that country are seriously understaffed because they anticipated they’d have nothing to do.
