The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) says the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and 47 other firms owe the Federal Government $8.149trn.
NEITI said this in Abuja on Monday during an event in which it disclosed the revenues not remitted to the federation by some government agencies and companies in the oil and gas sector in 2021.
The Executive Secretary of NEITI Ogbonnaya Orji presented the highlights of the report at the event.
